German museums digitize Hel sculpture and 1950s nude painting

The Museum für Sepulkralkultur has uploaded a carved wooden sculpture of Hel, the Norse ruler of the dead. The figure is half‑human, half‑skull, wears a long garment and ornamental headpiece, and bears three large runes on its back. It measures 13 × 6.5 × 4.8 cm.

Museum Schloss Lichtenburg added an oil painting titled “Liegender Frauenakt”, signed by H. Radomski and likely dating from the 1950s. The work shows a nude woman lying on a rocky shore, looking toward the viewer, and measures 62 × 93 × 4.5 cm. Both objects are now available through the museum‑digital platform for non‑commercial use.
