German museums digitize historic Martini sign and Kevelaer pilgrim souvenir
The Heimathaus Borghorst museum in Germany has digitised a historic enamel sign bearing the classic red‑and‑black Martini advertising logo. The piece, made of enamelled metal, shows typical wear and patina and is now available online under a Creative Commons licence.
The Freilichtmuseum Roscheider Hof has similarly uploaded a 1898 colour lithograph, a Catholic pilgrimage souvenir for Dutch‑speaking visitors to Kevelaer. The card depicts the Luxembourg Madonna and includes Dutch prayers on the reverse. Both items are part of the museum‑digital platform, providing free public access to detailed descriptions and images of German cultural heritage.
