German museums highlight historical 1930s artifacts
Museum archives in Germany have released details regarding historical artifacts from the early 1930s. The Freies Deutsches Hochstift / Frankfurter Goethe-Museum features a 1932 Goethe Merit Medal, a gilded bronze award created by sculptor Theodor Georgii. The medal was distributed to donors of Goethe’s birthplace in Frankfurt under the patronage of Reich President Paul von Hindenburg.
Additionally, the Stadtmuseum Halle has documented issues of the weekly publication Deutsche Illustrierte from 1934. These editions include various reports on international affairs, regional neighbors, and notable figures such as racing driver Hans Stuck and Paul von Beneckendorff. The museum notes that these materials are published strictly as historical witnesses.
