German museums host seasonal cultural and educational programs

Various cultural and educational programs are scheduled at German museums throughout late August and early September.

The Mühlenmuseum Moisburg will host a fairy tale themed day on September 6, 2026. The event, titled ‘Es war einmal…’, features theater performances such as ‘Trude Wetterfrosch’, music, and a fairy tale parade. The museum, which houses a functional water mill built in 1723, will offer demonstrations on how organic rye is processed into flour. Admission is free for children under 18.

In Wolfegg, the Bauernhausmuseum is conducting a summer holiday program. Activities include a water-themed day on August 27 involving raft building and tours of the Schachenmühle, a museum detective program on September 1, and an apple harvest event on September 3. Additionally, the museum offers guided tours of its historical buildings and an exhibition on the Peasants' War in Upper Swabia.
