German museums showcase historical funerary and domestic artifacts

The Museum für Sepulkralkultur features a hexagonal metal grave lamp originally from a cemetery in Dieburg. The object is decorated with ornamental moldings and a domed lid topped with a cross. It utilizes a combination of red-colored glass and etched glass panes depicting Christian symbols, such as crosses and cemetery scenes, to serve both functional lighting and symbolic memorial purposes.

Additionally, the Freilichtmuseum Roscheider Hof holds a portable coffee pot warmer designed with a suitcase-like structure for transport to outdoor events. This trapezoidal item features a metal frame, leather sides, and silk-screened viscose fabric with floral Baroque patterns. The design includes Art Nouveau floral ornaments on its metal handle and seahorse figures near the opening mechanism.
