The garment is made of black fulled wool with a silk Duchesse back and a silver satin lining with blue and grey Jacquard stripes. Such items were typically worn by affluent professionals like doctors or bankers.

Additionally, the Deutsches Damast- und Frottiermuseum holds a cotton terry cloth towel manufactured by VEB Frottana around 1985. The towel features a Jacquard-woven design with white and brown striped patterns and a geometric square pattern designed to create a three-dimensional effect.
