German music groups Engerling and Versengold announce upcoming tours

The East German blues-rock band Engerling is continuing its anniversary tour, titled ‘50 Jahre + 1 Engerling’. Led by singer and pianist Wolfram Bodag, the group will perform at the Kulturfabrik in Hoyerswerda on October 31, 2026. Formed in 1975, the band is recognized for its unique blend of blues, rock, and soul, often incorporating long instrumental improvisations that distinguished them from traditional socialist rock formations.

Additionally, the Bremen-based folk-rock band Versengold has announced its ‘Folk Sommer 2027’ tour. Scheduled between May and September 2027, the tour includes nine dates across various locations, such as Wolfhagen, Mannheim, and Celle. The performances will feature guest appearances from several musical acts, including Schandmaul, Mr. Hurley & Die Pulveraffen, Kupfergold, Third Class Party, and The Feelgood McLouds.
