German music industry faces tour delays and ticket sales challenges
The German music and entertainment industry is experiencing logistical delays and shifts in touring strategies. The Schlagerbooom Open Air 2027 in Kitzbühel has not yet released tickets, leading to uncertainty among fans. However, the delay is attributed to the complex planning processes required for large-scale outdoor events, involving coordination between broadcasters MDR, Bayerischer Rundfunk, and ORF, as well as necessary approvals from supervisory bodies.
In a separate development, prominent German rapper RIN has postponed his 2026 tour to 2027. The artist cited insufficient ticket sales for large venues as the reason for the shift, opting to perform in smaller locations instead. This move follows similar trends in the industry, with other artists also acknowledging difficulties in meeting ticket sales expectations for major arena shows.
