German musical themes featured in Ecuador and Mexico

In Guayaquil, Ecuador, the Municipal Philharmonic Orchestra held a commemorative concert to mark German Reunification Day. Directed by Jesús Uzcátegui, the event at the Olmedo Cultural Center aimed to bridge cultures and honor the 1990 reunification of the German Democratic Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany.

In Mexico, the German collective Ensemble Modern participated in the opening of the 54th Cervantino International Festival in Guanajuato. During a press conference, the group discussed the importance of balancing musical tradition with contemporary innovation, emphasizing that avant-garde art should reflect its era while remaining free from political pressure.
