German musicians scheduled for performances in Chile and Mexico
German pianist Beatrice Berthold will perform “Pasión Iberoamericana” at the Teatro CA660 in Chile on September 24. The recital, presented by Fundación CorpArtes, features a repertoire that connects European musical traditions with Spanish and Latin American composers, including works by Enrique Granados, Johannes Brahms, Maurice Ravel, Joaquín Turina, and Heitor Villa-Lobos.
In Mexico, the Ensemble Modern is scheduled to perform at the 54th Festival Internacional Cervantino on October 3 at the Teatro Juárez in Guanajuato. The Frankfurt-based ensemble will present a contemporary music program that includes “Rojo en azul volátil” by Diana Syrse, a piece inspired by the visual textures of painter Rufino Tamayo. The performance is designed to integrate the theater's architecture into the sonic experience, with musicians moving through different areas of the venue.
