German Olympian Kristina Vogel Aims for RTL’s ‘Let’s Dance’

Two‑time Olympic track cycling champion Kristina Vogel, who has been wheelchair‑bound since a training crash in 2018, says she would love to compete on RTL’s dance show “Let’s Dance”. In the “WONDERMOM” podcast hosted by Natascha Ochsenknecht, Vogel explained that she would need to learn dancing from scratch but is motivated by the competitive spirit and the chance to showcase inclusion. She first voiced the idea in 2024 and cites Norwegian Paralympian Birgit Skarstein, who appeared in Norway’s version of the show in 2020, as a precedent. Vogel, still active in sport advocacy and recently married her partner Michael, hopes her participation would be a first for the German edition.
