German Open-Air Music Festivals Kick Off Summer 2026

The 35th KWP Festival returned to the Kaiser‑Wilhelm‑Park in Göttingen for two days on 14‑15 August 2026. Headliner Paula Carolina opened the event with a set that mixed indie‑pop and social commentary, followed by performances from local acts such as Raum 27 and Dilla, who showcased a range of indie, punk and electronic styles.

In Worms, the second edition of the "House im Park" festival took place on 4 July 2026 in the Karl‑Bittel‑Park. Around 900 visitors enjoyed a summer house‑music party featuring DJs Steffen Baumann, Wishes & Dreams, Danjo & Verena and host Christian Truschel. Organisers added two LED monitors and expanded beverage service, while local officials noted the park was left cleaner than before.

Both festivals highlight a growing trend of open‑air music events across German cities this summer, drawing regional talent and sizable crowds.
