German Organ Transplantation Foundation holds donor appreciation event in Halle

The German Organ Transplantation Foundation (DSO) is organizing a central ceremony in Halle (Saale) to thank organ donors. The event will take place in the Händelhalle and includes a program where participants can create individual memorial stones that will later be combined into a collective artwork. Registration must be submitted in writing by 31 August 2026 for those attending in person. The invitation emphasizes gratitude for the self‑less decisions of donors that give hope and life to transplant recipients.

Organ transplant recipients and supporters are encouraged to contribute stones either on‑site or beforehand, with the assembled piece symbolising the shared gratitude of the community.
