German organizations honor long-term service and union members

Various organizations in Germany recently held ceremonies to honor individuals for long-term service and membership.

Sparkasse Schweinfurt-Haßberge hosted an event to recognize 27 employees for their years of service. The honors included ten employees with 25 years of service, fifteen with 40 years, and two with 50 years. CEO Peter Schleich described the staff as the solid foundation of the institution.

In Weddinghofen, the IG BCE local group held a jubilee celebration for 26 members. Notable honorees included Heiner Hollin, who was recognized for 75 years of union membership, and Manfred Mark for 70 years. The event, attended by local officials including Mayor Thomas Heinzel, emphasized the importance of union solidarity in securing jobs and improving working conditions.
