German organizations host “Türen auf für die Maus” community events

Various organizations in Germany are participating in the nationwide “Türen auf für die Maus” initiative on October 3. This event, part of a WDR-led campaign, encourages local clubs and institutions to open their doors to families and children.

In the Amberg region, the DARC local association U01 will host activities focused on radio technology and electronics. The program aims to introduce children to the world of amateur radio, highlighting how enthusiasts communicate globally and provide support during emergencies and disasters.

In Gera, the Otto-Dix-Haus will offer workshops where participants can learn about the artist's silverpoint drawing technique and create their own sketches. Additionally, the Museum of Applied Arts will host sessions on how individual images create motion, allowing participants to build and take home their own thumb kinestoscopes.
