Multiple German Pedelec Accidents Injure Riders, One Fatality Reported

In Marktheidenfeld, a 16‑year‑old on a Zündapp mop‑scooter collided with a 51‑year‑old cyclist on a Cube pedelec on a road closed to traffic. The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was air‑lifted to hospital, while the teenager was lightly hurt.

In Pinneberg, a 16‑year‑old e‑scooter rider fell after a brief encounter with a car at a malfunctioning traffic light, sustaining minor injuries. The driver left the scene, and police are seeking witnesses.

In Hannover‑Ricklingen, a male pedelec rider was struck by a car on a Tuesday evening, suffered life‑threatening injuries and died two days later in hospital. Police have opened an investigation into the crash.
