German police appeal for witnesses after series of bike thefts

Police in Thuringia reported that an unknown thief or thieves stole a Specialized Levo e‑bike valued at about €6,000 from a basement bike rack in Arnstadt between 25 June and 16 July 2026. The bike was secured with a folding lock that was cut, and investigators are asking for any information using reference number 0179739/2026.

In Bavaria, several bicycles and an e‑scooter were taken from stations in Feucht and Moosbach during the week of 14–15 July 2026. The Feucht incidents involved a student’s bike worth €2,989 and three additional bikes plus an e‑scooter totalling roughly €5,000; the Moosbach case concerned a Cube e‑bike valued at about €1,300.
