German police detain woman with forged passport and paintings

Federal police in Waidhaus, Germany, have detained a 46-year-old Chinese national during a border check on the A6 motorway. The woman was wanted by the Landshut public prosecutor's office on an arrest warrant related to tax evasion following an 8,000 euro fine.

During the stop, authorities discovered valuable paintings in her luggage with a total value of approximately 82,400 euros. The woman was also found in possession of a forged Czech passport. Although she presented a Chinese passport and a Hungarian residence permit, she lacked valid documentation for entry into Germany.

Authorities have denied her entry and initiated proceedings for suspected procurement of false official identification and attempted illegal entry.
