German police investigate suspected arson in separate vehicle fires

Police in Germany are investigating two separate vehicle fires suspected to be acts of arson.

In Göllingen, three unregistered vehicles were completely destroyed by fire on a courtyard in Seegaer Straße during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. Authorities estimate the property damage to be over 1,000 euros. Based on the circumstances, the fire department and police suspect arson.

In Mönchengladbach-Odenkirchen, a blue Opel Adam was destroyed by fire on Vlodropstraße around 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday. Investigators noted the vehicle had no license plates attached. While technical defects are being examined, police have not ruled out intentional arson and are conducting forensic investigations for accelerants.
