German police report peaceful festival weekends

Police in Germany report peaceful outcomes for recent local festivals. In Bad Homburg, the Laternenfest concluded with a positive assessment from the Hochtaunus Police Directorate. Police Director Iris Müller noted that increased presence contributed to a safe and relaxed environment for visitors, with no major incidents reported.

However, a black BMW 390 L was stolen from an underground garage on Neue Mauerstraße in Bad Homburg between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Authorities are currently searching for the vehicle.

In Rosenheim, the Herbstfest also saw a peaceful start. Police focused on traffic enforcement, towing nine vehicles that were illegally parked in emergency lanes or disabled parking spaces. Drivers face fines and towing costs totaling approximately 400 euros. Officers also provided makeshift assistance to a visitor by using adhesive tape to repair a broken shoe sole.
