German police seize drugs at techno festivals and in Schwerin crackdown

Police in the German state of Hesse carried out extensive drug checks at techno events in Offenbach, seizing substances including cocaine, amphetamine, MDMA, ketamine, LSD, fentanyl and hallucinogenic mushrooms. Event organiser Johannes Persson stressed that the venue is not a drug‑distribution hub and warned that repeated checks could deter visitors.

In the city of Schwerin, authorities concluded a multi‑month operation targeting drug crime in the Mueßer Holz district. The effort led to more than ten arrest warrants, the seizure of over 10 kg of narcotics and 6 kg of marijuana, large sums of cash and confiscation of phones, with several suspects detained. Police said the intensified presence had noticeably calmed the neighbourhood.

Both operations illustrate a coordinated German police focus on curbing narcotics distribution in public venues and residential areas.
