German police seize illegal weapons, explosives and drugs in multiple raids
Federal police conducting border checks on the A6 near Waidhaus and in Waldsassen confiscated a range of prohibited items, including electro‑shock devices, stun sprays, brass knuckles, knives and Category F4 fireworks. Several individuals were reported, among them a Serbian citizen arriving from the Czech Republic, a 16‑year‑old German, a 26‑year‑old German with a disguised device, and a 21‑year‑old Romanian with a spring knife.
In Berlin, a special police unit raided an apartment on Naunynstraße in the Kreuzberg district, seizing firearms, ammunition, gold bars and cocaine. Both operations prompted investigations under Germany's weapons and explosives laws.
