German police seize Lamborghini and luxury goods in money laundering raid
German authorities have seized a Lamborghini, a six-carat diamond, and gold bars valued at approximately 639,000 euros during a large-scale money laundering investigation. The operation, involving roughly 80 officers across 16 locations in Berlin and Brandenburg, also uncovered more than 330,000 euros in cash, luxury watches, and gold jewelry.
Four suspects, consisting of three men and one woman, have been arrested. Investigators have blocked 189 bank accounts and secured an additional 2 million euros in assets. Police also recovered a functional firearm, ammunition, and various forged identity documents, including passports and bank cards.
The investigation focuses on an alleged scheme where the suspects used strawmen and false identities to establish or acquire companies over the last two years. These entities were reportedly used to open bank accounts to receive large sums of money, which were then transferred multiple times to obscure the original source and the true beneficiaries.
