German police raid home of salafist influencer Hanna Hansen

The Cologne police searched the apartment of Hanna Hansen, a 42‑year‑old salafist influencer with 224,000 Instagram followers and a background as a kickboxing world champion. The raid, disclosed by North‑Rhine Westphalia interior minister Herbert Reul, resulted in the seizure of data carriers that are now being examined. Authorities suspect Hansen of using symbols of the banned terrorist organization Hamas – specifically a red triangle – on a social‑media platform in April. The state prosecutor’s office confirmed the search without naming the suspect, and Hansen has so far declined to comment on the allegations, stating she will continue her "public work". The investigation is part of a broader effort by the state security service to monitor extremist activity.
