German politicians address agricultural policy at Landshut event

During the 'Tag der Landwirtschaft' at the Landshut Starkbierfest, CSU State Secretary Martin Schöffel criticized current federal energy and social policies. Schöffel called for a secure energy supply and argued that the principle of wage differentials must be maintained, stating that those who work should earn more than those who do not.

Schöffel also addressed the costs of 'Bürgergeld', noting it costs approximately 25 to 30 billion euros annually. He argued that it is unjust to demand 1 billion euros in savings from the agricultural sector while such high social expenditures continue. He advocated for economic growth through tax relief for the middle class and farmers, rather than implementing a four-day work week.

Additionally, Carl von Butler, General Secretary of the BBV, urged voters to choose stability and agricultural-friendly perspectives over 'wishful thinking'.
