Christopher Street Day 2026 events across German cities

The 2026 Christopher Street Day (CSD) celebrations are taking place in several German locations. In Erkrath on 27 June, the parade joins the Hochdahler Markt under the motto “Diversity is our strength,” with the long‑standing Gendertreff e. V. participating to promote LGBTQ+ visibility and democratic values.

Hamburg’s Pride weekend (1 August) includes inclusive services for blind and visually impaired visitors, such as a live‑commentary radio feed and a dedicated reporter cabin. Additional accommodations feature a handicap‑tribune and improved pathway lighting.

In Munich, the CSD runs from 26‑28 June along Odeonsplatz and Siegestor. The city administration revoked 39 on‑site drinking licences to secure stage space and emergency routes, prompting anger from local bar owners who warn of significant revenue loss. Officials stress public safety as the reason for the restrictions.

Cologne hosts its three‑day CSD from 3‑5 July, with major adjustments to public transport. The KVB increased tram and bus frequencies, rerouted lines, and introduced a special CSD ticket priced at €24 for the entire Rhein‑region network. Several tram lines are temporarily suspended or limited due to route closures.
