German Quarter Horse Association kicks off 2026 breeding season with shows in Delmenhorst and Hannover
The Deutsche Quarter Horse Association (DQHA) opened its 2026 breeding season on 1 August 2026 at the Schorschi’s Ranch in Delmenhorst. Nine American Quarter Horses were presented, judged by two DQHA breeding judges, and participants received eHorses vouchers and leather pendants from Schoch Saddlery. In the Höveler foal rating, the top three foals were awarded cash‑value vouchers ranging from €100 to €25. Notable winners included the foal ‘ONLY SCOTCH FOR ME’ owned by Lea Mecklenborg and the foal ‘GT WIMPYS METALLIC CAT’ owned by Georg Titz.
A detailed schedule for the regional show in Hannover was also released, outlining class times, age groups, and competition formats for foals, yearlings, juveniles, seniors, and veterans. The programme lists specific events such as Welsh‑Hunter jumping, pony‑dressage, and obedience trials, with allotted start times and judge assignments. Participants were asked to confirm arrival details for optimal parking and paddock setup.
