German Red Cross conducts blood donation drives in Bielefeld and Gladbeck

The German Red Cross (DRK) is conducting various blood donation initiatives across Germany to support medical supplies for emergencies and surgeries.

In Bielefeld, the main customs office held a large-scale donation event on October 5, 2026, in collaboration with the DRK. The event saw 71 employees participate, including 18 first-time donors, resulting in the collection of 56 blood units totaling 28 liters.

In Gladbeck, the DRK is hosting a donation event at the Stadthalle on October 12, 2026. As part of a campaign titled ‘Be cool. Give blood.’, the DRK has partnered with SHEEPWORLD to offer limited-edition coffee-to-go mugs to first-time donors who participate between October 1 and December 31, 2026.
