German regional farmers markets celebrate 25th anniversaries

Regional farmers markets in Germany are celebrating 25th anniversaries in both Fröndenberg and Anhausen.

In Fröndenberg, the Himmelmannpark market features over 30 participants offering diverse goods, including honey, poultry, baked goods, and garden supplies. The event includes demonstrations of motorized gardening equipment, environmental information from NABU, and activities such as bungee jumping and boule. The market is scheduled to begin with an outdoor harvest festival service.

In Anhausen, the traditional market has become a significant regional success, attracting approximately 5,000 visitors. Organized under the motto ‘More Quality of Life,’ the event featured a wide selection of handmade goods and delicacies. Local officials noted the event's growth over a quarter-century, highlighting that the organizing group raised 68,000 euros in donations for regional institutions.
