German regional festivals continue following Munich Oktoberfest

Various regional festivals are taking place in Germany following the conclusion of the Munich Oktoberfest. In Plettenberg, the Schützenverein Oestertal hosted its first Oktoberfest at the Oesterhalle.

In Augsburg, the Lechhauser Kirchweih is scheduled to run from October 17 to October 25, 2026. The event will feature a parade from Marienplatz to the festival tent, where Mayor Dr. Florian Freund will perform the traditional barrel tapping. Highlights include a market Sunday on October 18, an automotive mile, and various community programs such as puppet theater and programming workshops hosted by the Lechhausen city library.
