German Regional Festivals Draw Thousands in Ueckermünde and Steinhude

The 60th Hafftage in Ueckermünde (July 24‑25, 2026) attracted thousands of visitors with a programme that includes ship exhibitions, a regatta on the Stettiner Haff, sporting contests, a cultural schedule featuring local bands, school orchestras and headline concerts by national stars such as Helene Fischer. Highlights also comprised a large fireworks display, a special "Bernstein – Gold des Nordens" exhibition and a showcase of a Bundeswehr off‑road vehicle.

In Steinhude, the annual Schützenfest on July 21, 2026 featured the traditional "Great Zapfenstreich" ceremony. Hundreds of locals and guests watched the torch‑lit procession and marching battalions perform historic military signals accompanied by music from the Steinhude music corps and the "Original Calenberger" wind band. The event took place on the former council cellar grounds with views over the Steinhuder Meer, continuing a tradition dating back to the mid‑18th century.
