German regional football clubs see mixed results in July test matches
FC Coburg travelled to play FC Einheit Rudolstadt in a regional Oberliga test match, ending in a 2-2 draw. Goals came from Max Lanzendörfer for Coburg, Emilio Heß and Maximilian Schlegel for Rudolstadt, with Noa Schott equalising late. Both clubs noted the match offered useful insights despite a disappointing performance, and Coburg will face SV 09 Arnstadt in their next test.
In another July test, Chemie Leipzig were beaten 1-4 by 1. FC Magdeburg in a season‑opening friendly. Richmond Tachie opened scoring for Magdeburg, Elias Kratzer equalised for Leipzig, before Pierre Nadjombe (twice) and Moritz‑Broni Kwarteng secured the victory for Magdeburg. Leipzig will host SV Babelsberg later in the month, while Magdeburg prepares for the start of its 2. Bundesliga campaign in August.
