Rot-Weiß Oberhausen advances to Niederrheinpokal round of 16

Rot-Weiß Oberhausen has advanced to the round of 16 in the Niederrheinpokal after a 3-0 victory against SV Haldern. Despite the win, coach Sebastian Gunkel noted that the team struggled during the first half due to lack of concentration and errors that nearly allowed the underdog to take the lead.

Gunkel explained that heavy rotation was used to manage player workload, which resulted in two distinct halves of play. Following this victory, Rot-Weiß Oberhausen is scheduled to face SSVg Velbert in the round of 16 on October 21 at the IMS Arena.
