German regional handball: HSG Varel and TSV Daverden prepare for upcoming matches

In German regional handball, HSG Varel is set to host newly promoted MTV Großenheidorn in a 3. Liga match on September 12. HSG Varel coach Arek Blacha noted the difficulty of facing Großenheidorn, citing their organized offense led by Julius Bausch and their defensive flexibility. MTV Großenheidorn enters the match following a challenging preseason and will be missing player Jakob Bormann.

In the Verbandsliga, TSV Daverden will face SG Achim/Baden II in a season-opening derby. Daverden coach Henning Meyer emphasized that minimizing errors and utilizing home advantage will be critical for victory. Both teams are expected to play at a high tempo, though Daverden will be without key players Boyke Wilkens, Jonas Bischoff, and Arvid Schneider.
