German Regional Handball Teams Clinch Titles and Cup Semifinal

The Girls II handball team (born 2009 or later) of Gymnasium Neutraubling captured the North Bavarian championship. After a tight loss to Julius‑Echter‑Gymnasium Elsenfeld (11‑12), they secured first place with victories over Adam‑Kraft Gymnasium Schwabach (13‑9) and Ehrenbürg‑Gymnasium Forchheim (12‑6). The win qualifies them for the Bavarian state final in June, where they will face Louise‑Schroeder‑Gymnasium Munich.

In a separate competition, HSG Marienheide/Müllenbach advanced to the BSP‑Cup semifinals by defeating CVJM Oberwiehl 31‑23. Coach Michael Debus highlighted the team’s solid performance, while new Oberwiehl coach Heinz Tillmann noted the squad’s quick adaptation after only a week of training. The semifinals are scheduled for 4 September.
