Record temperatures of 41.5 °C were logged in Möckern‑Drewitz, prompting large‑scale drills in Bonn that involved multiple hospitals and simulated the evacuation of victims from overheated rooftops. The combined focus on physical preparedness and psychological stability aims to ensure that rescuers can operate effectively despite the physiological strain of extreme summer heat.
