German riders win multiple golds at European Eventing Championships
German equestrian riders achieved significant success at the European Eventing Championships held in Segersjö, Sweden. In the junior category, Teresa Leowald secured the individual gold medal riding DJ Continus, finishing with 25.8 penalty points. The German junior team also claimed gold, finishing with 84.8 points ahead of Ireland and Great Britain.
In the young riders category, Mathies Rüder won the individual European title riding Hjoptimus, following a strong dressage performance. The German young rider team dominated the competition, securing gold with 86.9 penalty points, significantly ahead of silver medalist Great Britain and bronze medalist France. Pita Schmid also earned a bronze medal in the individual standings for the young riders.
