German road collisions in Aurich and Marnheim injure eight and four

On Wednesday, a severe collision occurred on Brockzeteler Straße at the intersection of Siedlerstraße and Landreiterweg in Aurich‑Brockzetel, Lower Saxony. Two nearly fully‑occupied vehicles hit each other; eight people were injured, including four children. Emergency services from several districts responded, the fire brigade stabilized the vehicle on its roof, and a rescue helicopter evacuated one patient to a specialist clinic while the others were taken to nearby hospitals.

Earlier in the week, at the junction of federal road B47 and L401 near Marnheim, Rhineland‑Palatinate, a traffic accident involving an 80‑year‑old driver who failed to yield and a transporter resulted in four lightly injured occupants. Police estimated damage around €7,000; both vehicles were towed and traffic was temporarily disrupted.
