German Schools Award MINT Certificates to Top Students

Students at the Sankt Lioba School in Germany earned MINT certificates after strong performances in international science Olympiads. Luisa Agel qualified for the second round of the International Biology Olympiad 2026, while she, Julius Schneider and Youri Störkel advanced in the International Chemistry Olympiad, with Störkel reaching the third round and ranking among the 65 best participants nationwide.

At the Gymnasium am Kurfürstlichen Schloss Mainz, six tenth‑grade pupils received MINT certificates with the ministry‑level distinction, three of them in the highest “Auszeichnung” tier. The certificates, signed by Education Minister Dr. Eiling‑Hütig, recognize sustained engagement in at least two MINT subjects and activities such as competitions, clubs, internships or university events.
