German schools celebrate success in national math competitions

More than 100 pupils at a German school took part in the international "Känguru der Mathematik" contest, which attracts around six million participants worldwide. Ten students received awards such as books and games, while all competitors were given souvenir prizes.

At the Gymnasium am Rittersberg, the 10c class entered the nationwide "Mathematik ohne Grenzen" competition in the Nordpfalz region. The team solved multilingual problem sets and secured first place among all 10th‑grade classes, earning a €350 prize at a ceremony in Winnweiler on 22 April 2026.
