German schools claim regional victories in 'Youth Train for Olympics' triathlon and football

At the state final of the "Jugend trainiert für Olympia" triathlon held on June 5, 2026 at the Koberbachtalsperre, Lessing‑Gymnasium Plauen earned a silver medal, finishing behind the Sportcampus Klingenthal. The team’s top performers were Yannik Schramm and Marielle Uhlig (both sixth), and Ben Schiller (eighth), who also recorded the fastest swim time.

In the same competition series, the MGF school’s football squads advanced through the Kreisentscheid district round.
