German schools enhance student resources and inclusion tools

Various German educational institutions are enhancing student resources through new equipment and materials.

At KGS Wilhelm-Röpke-Schule, new fifth-grade classes are receiving 'inclusion boxes' designed to support concentration and emotional regulation. These kits contain items such as fidget toys, infinity cubes, reading rulers, sand timers, and ear protection. The initiative, led by the inclusion department and supported by the school's support association, aims to assist students with ADHD or autism, though the tools are intended for the entire student body.

At Johanneum, the B-Box reading area has undergone significant upgrades. Following donations from the 1976 graduating class, the facility has acquired new rotating shelves, bookends, and an expanded collection of approximately 2,000 books. The collection includes various genres such as manga, crime novels, and series like 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid'.
