German Adult Education Expands AI Courses for 2026/27

The Kreisvolkshochschule (KVHS) Barnim released its 2026/27 program, highlighting artificial‑intelligence (AI) training ranging from introductory courses to applied workshops. The initiative aims to equip participants of all ages with practical AI skills and supports lifelong learning in the region.

Across Germany, numerous Volkshochschulen and vocational schools are adding hundreds of new courses for the autumn semester 2026, many centred on AI topics such as prompting, ChatGPT use, and digital competencies. Institutions including VHS Rhein‑Sieg, VHS Schwerte, and VHS Bamberg are introducing AI workshops, hybrid‑learning formats, and related technical subjects like 3D modelling. In North Rhine‑Westphalia, plans for AI assistance tools in schools have also been announced.
