German schools receive awards for vocational orientation excellence
Various German schools have been recognized for excellence in vocational orientation through the ‘Berufswahl-SIEGEL’ (Career Choice Seal) awards.
In Lower Saxony, the Oberschule Loccum has been named a ‘Berufswahl-SIEGEL-Botschafterschule’ (Career Choice Seal Ambassador School) during the 12th National Network Day in Berlin. It is currently the only school in Lower Saxony to hold this distinction. The school’s success is attributed to its strategy of combining theory with practice, including collaborations with vocational schools and its own ‘Nachwuchsoffensive’ training fair.
In Bavaria, 63 schools have received the seal for their outstanding commitment to helping students identify talents and interests early. Of these, 30 schools are receiving the recognition for the first time, while 33 have been re-certified. The award program is supported by the Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft (bbw) e. V., the Bavarian State Ministry of Education and Culture, and the vbw – Association of the Bavarian Economy.
