German schools welcome new fifth-grade students

Various schools in Germany have held welcoming ceremonies for their new fifth-grade students.

At Ohmoor, 194 new students were enrolled in three stages. The event featured performances by a big band led by Ms. Prigge, an orchestra led by Ms. Blenner, Ms. Heinemeyer, and Ms. Hippe, and a junior choir led by Mr. Busemann. Sixth-grade students provided guidance to the newcomers, and each student received a sunflower from their class teacher during the ceremony.

At Kopernikus-Gymnasium Wissen, 119 new students were officially welcomed. The ceremony included musical performances by students and a presentation by the school's cheerleader group. To foster community, the school also organized experiential pedagogy sessions led by Mr. Ziegler and Ms. Langenbrink to help the new classes bond through team tasks.
