German schools welcome new fifth-grade students
Various German schools held welcome ceremonies for new fifth-grade students to mark the beginning of the academic year.
At the Immanuel Kant Gymnasium in Münster, 120 new students were welcomed with musical performances, including a modified version of Sam Smith’s ‘Stay with me’. School leadership emphasized the importance of teamwork and individual strengths as students begin their journey at the institution.
At the Robert-Schuman-Europaschule in Willich, six new fifth-grade classes were welcomed through two separate ceremonies. The event featured musical contributions from tenth-grade students, a theatrical performance by seventh-grade students, and the introduction of the school mascot, Eddie. New students also received sports equipment to assist with their transition into school life.
