German schools welcome new students for the academic year
Schools in Germany have welcomed new students for the start of the academic year. At the Johannes-Gutenberg-Gymnasium in Waldkirchen, 122 new students joined the 5th grade, bringing the total student population to 750.
Principal Dr. Andreas Schöps emphasized the importance of integration and community. The school utilizes a tutor and Befair team to support new students with daily challenges and social cohesion.
In Leimen, the Turmschule held ceremonies for its new first-grade students. The welcome included a church service and a celebration where the principal presented students with a symbolic ‘invisible school backpack’ containing items representing curiosity, courage, friendship, and community.
