German secondary schools announce information events for prospective students

Several secondary schools in Germany have scheduled information sessions and open house events for parents and prospective fifth-grade students.

Goetheschule will host an information evening on October 28, 2026, to discuss the transition from primary school to the gymnasium. The session will cover curriculum structures for grades 5 through 10, foreign language offerings including French, Spanish, and Latin, and the school’s focus on digital education, health, and sports.

In Bielefeld, the Max-Planck-Gymnasium has announced a series of events, including an information evening for parents on November 4, 2026, and an open house on November 13, 2026. The school is also offering trial lessons for students on November 14, 2026, and workshop sessions in December 2026 and January 2027 to provide insight into the fifth-grade experience.
