German secondary schools prepare for 2026/27 academic year

German secondary schools, including Gymnasium Zitadelle and Wald-Gymnasium Berlin-Charlottenburg, have released updates regarding the upcoming 2026/27 school year.

Gymnasium Zitadelle is shifting its focus toward internal and external cooperation, aiming to strengthen collaborative work through partnerships with extracurricular organizations. The school recently received certification as a ‘School of the Future’ and continues to emphasize sustainability and environmental protection.

Wald-Gymnasium Berlin-Charlottenburg has announced its schedule for the new term, with classes for upper secondary levels (Sek II) beginning on August 24, 2026, and lower secondary levels (Sek I) starting on August 25, 2026. The school calendar includes various orientation days, parent meetings, and student council elections scheduled throughout August and September.
