German security firms push integrated physical and cyber protection for businesses
Florian Zachmayer, managing director of the Nuremberg‑based Wach‑ und Schließgesellschaft, explained that modern corporate security must go beyond fences and cameras. He highlighted a holistic approach that combines physical safeguards, information security, sustainability, robotics and AI, stressing that prevention is essential for a company's future viability.
Hamburg’s Smart Light Solutions introduced its Smartkeeper product line, offering hardware locks for USB ports and other interfaces to prevent unauthorized access to IT and OT equipment. The Essential series provides colour‑coded, interchangeable keys, while the Pro series delivers custom‑coded locks for high‑security environments such as backbone networks, nuclear plants and industrial production lines. Both companies stress that physical measures are a critical complement to digital security tools.
